Playerbot Account Linking

'''Playerbot Account Linking''' allows trusted accounts to be connected through the Playerbots system on the Shadowmourne Realm.

Account linking uses a Playerbot security key.

Commands

Available account commands are:

.playerbots account setKey
.playerbots account link
.playerbots account linkedAccounts
.playerbots account unlink

Set Security Key

Syntax:

.playerbots account setKey SECURITYKEY

Example:

.playerbots account setKey MyPrivateBotKey

The security key is used to authorize account linking.

Link Account

Syntax:

.playerbots account link ACCOUNTNAME SECURITYKEY

Example:

.playerbots account link MYALTACCOUNT MyPrivateBotKey

This attempts to connect another account using that account's configured Playerbot security key.

View Linked Accounts

Use:

.playerbots account linkedAccounts

to view accounts currently linked to the Playerbot system.

Unlink Account

Syntax:

.playerbots account unlink ACCOUNTNAME

Example:

.playerbots account unlink MYALTACCOUNT

This removes the selected account relationship.

Why Link Accounts

Account linking can allow the Playerbots system to recognize trusted relationships between separate accounts.

This is useful when a player has:

• alternate accounts
• bot characters on another account
• characters intended for long-term Playerbot use

Security

Treat your Playerbot security key like a password.

Do not:

• post it in chat
• place it on the Wiki
• share screenshots containing it
• send it to unknown players

If you believe a key was exposed, replace it using:

.playerbots account setKey NEWKEY

Troubleshooting

Link fails

Check:

• account name
• security key
• capitalization
• Playerbot permissions

Account not listed

Use:

.playerbots account linkedAccounts

to verify the current link state.

Remove old access

Use:

.playerbots account unlink ACCOUNTNAME
